This is our premium, Stainless Steel 2.5 inch Y connector, custom designed to connect two-2 inch vacuum hoses to one 2.5 inch vacuum hose with minimal air restriction.
Our 2.5 inch Y connector is far more durable and cost effective than than the leading brand as it can be used (and we recommend use with) inexpensive, unbreakable friction fit vinyl cuffs. Twist-lock cuffs may be used, but are completely unnecessary with our Y, as there is no tugging near the machine. Additionally, when the vacuum is on, the resulting negative pressure holds the 3 hoses firmly together. Save money and buy this durable, sustainably built 2.5 inch by 2 x 2 inch Y adapter. Uses:

Use this Y to connect the two-2 inch vacuum hoses coming from your Truck Mounted, Professional Carpet Cleaning machines recovery tank, to one 2.5 inch vacuum hose that will go into the home or business your cleaning. This adapter combined with our premium 2.5 inch Vacuum Hose will greatly increase your machines air-flow, thus reducing drying times & increasing the amount of soil removed all in less time. This in-turn, will increase your bottom line!

Tips:

You do not need Twist-Lock Cuffs with this assembly as there is no tugging on the Y which resides near the cleaning unit during the cleaning process. All you need (and we recommend) two standard 2 inch vacuum hose sleeves and one 2.5 inch vacuum hose sleeve (comes with our 2.5 inch vacuum hose). No extra expense & will not need replacement over time.
You should always use two in-line filters (one for each of the 2 inch hoses coming from the recovery tank) as apposed to one filter on the 2.5 inch vacuum hose. This is because placing two separate filters in line with each of the 2 inch vac hoses will maintain much higher air flow, and alleviate the need to clean them as often.

This Stainless Steel 2.5 inch Vacuum Hose Y connector has been custom built to maintain the highest level of air flow possible and sized to fit standard cuffs as well as twist-lock cuffs perfectly. Also, there are exhaust system Y's sold for less money. They costs less because they are mass-manufactured from a mold for exhaust systems (often overseas). Unfortunately, these units do not fit Twist-Lock Cuffs or Standard Vinyl Hose Cuffs, so they are worthless for this purpose. Click the "More Images" bar above to view a picture that demonstrates this. It shows a properly sized 2 inch leg of our Y actually inserting into one "over-sized" legs of the exhaust Y.

The Company's primary metal of choice is Stainless Steel which, and although is energy intensive to manufacture it lasts a very long lasting and is extremely recyclable. In fact, nearly 50% of all Stainless Steel is comprised of recycled content. The Company is also a better alternative to purchasing products made in other countries overseas, where their is an immense amount of energy required to ship them here and the emissions requirements are often not as stringent.

Notes:

The Green Chalet highly recommends recycling your Stainless Steel cleaning tools if you should so happen to outlive them :)
